Bringing Numerology and Tarot together.

Now it is time to take our first steps in looking at the relationship between Numerology and Tarot.

A deck of tarot cards consists of 22 cards in the major arcana and 56 in the minor arcana. The minor arcana is comprised of four suits of  ten numbered cards and four court cards each, (also referred to as the Royal arcana), rather like a pack of playing cards. The major arcana of 22 cards are all numbered and have titles.

In this post I want to show the major arcana and its relationship to the blueprint numbers we have found via numerology.

Each number between 1 and 9 is linked to two of the major arcana cards. Here is a list of the cards with their deck numbers in brackets. You will see that the cards relate through the same procedure of adding down which we have seen illustrated in the calculations for the blueprint numbers of an individual’s birthdate except for the two Key numbers 11 and 22 which are treated slightly differently once again.

Blueprint number 1 with The Magician (1) and The Wheel of Fortune (10)

Blueprint number 2 with The High Priestess (2) and Judgement (20)

Blueprint number 3 with The Empress (3) and The Hanged Man (12)

Blueprint number 4 with The Emperor (4) and Death (13)

Blueprint number 5 with The Hierophant (5) and Temperance (14)

Blueprint number 6 with The Lovers (6) and The Devil (15)

Blueprint number 7 with The Chariot (7) and The Tower (16)

Blueprint number 8 with Strength (8) and The Star (17)

Blueprint number 9 with The Hermit (9) and The Moon (18)

From the numerology blueprints we are left with Key numbers 11 and 22
From the major arcana we are left with the cards of The Fool (0) Justice (11) The Sun (19) and The World (21)
Key blueprint 11 is associated with The Fool (0) and Justice (11)
Key blueprint 22 is associated with both The Sun (19) and The World (21)
In my next post I will explore meanings of these cards and their influences on the lifepath of each blueprint number.

Before the ‘beginning of our beginning’.

I have said in an earlier post that the first thing to consider if you want to delve into the ‘whys and wherefores’ of your life and character is Numerology. It gives the basis, the blueprint, for the life you are leading. I touched briefly upon the decisions taken long before the birth where the life is planned and the lessons to be learned are decided upon.

This obviously takes us into the realms of reincarnation. A massive subject in its own right, I am not going to go into it too deeply here. Perhaps later I will add it to my blog as something else to discuss.

Suffice to say that from my perspective this little phrase sums it up pretty well.

‘A rebirth on earth is a death in the Spirit world.
A death on earth is a rebirth in the Spirit world.’

We welcome a child with awe and delight, we grieve for those who die with tears and so it is in reverse. The Spirit world welcomes us back with great joy, waves us off with sorrow when we embark on yet another journey of learning here on the earth plane.

I have been asked to explain such things as miscarriages, baby deaths, premature birth, stillbirths and abortions in the context of my belief that all new lives are carefully planned long before a child on Earth is actually conceived. This is a difficult thing to do as I do not know how raw such pains may be for those who have experienced some of these events but I will try to give an explanation here as simply as possible.

Not to take away from the great sadness a miscarriage or stillbirth causes or the grief at the early death of an infant. Nor to fall down on either side of the abortion debate I still say it all fits the plan.

Right up to the actual birth and for a while after when the new child is still linked very strongly with the Spirit world there is the opportunity to ‘back out’. Spirit world is much more forgiving of this than perhaps we are. Cold feet can be accommodated. A spirit may suddenly decide that they are not ready. There is no force or compulsion used in Spirit world.  So the child that was to be has changed its mind.

I know this is not an easy thing for us here on Earth to bear but we are great believers in our freedom to choose so is it really so hard to allow that same right, to accept the sometimes hard decisions, made by those who are not yet born?

After birth a child is closely linked still with the Spirit world but over time this bond slackens and eventually its strength is diminished. While still strongly attached by this secondary ‘umbilical cord’ new lives can change their minds, even at this late stage and we hear of the sudden death of an infant for no apparent reason. The spirit in this case returned home early to prepare more intensively for another term on Earth.

Then there are the spirits who offer themselves up to help in the necessary life experiences of someone on Earth, or group of people, this spirit has no blueprint, the ‘life’ created will not come to fruition. I do not say this is a sacrifice because it is not viewed as such; no harm comes to the spirit. They give ‘spark’ to a foetus in the full knowledge that the pregnancy will be ended. The life lesson of those concerned in this scenario needed the ‘spark’ to help bring all the circumstances into place for the experience they were to undergo, the lesson they were, hopefully, to learn.

Premature birth can be simply a change of plans, e.g. “I don’t want to go through a blueprint 4 after all, get me a date for a 7.” That may be a slightly comical way of putting it but that is basically what has happened. Late births follow more or less the same pattern. A quick recalculation to find the most suitable new birthdate is required. The adjudicators on the Spirit plane are ever helpful and understanding.

I believe we do have a great say in the ‘plan’ of our life before birth, we can back out at any point with no recriminations and we will over many lives visit the ladder of blueprints, with rungs numbered 1 through to 9, numerous times until we have learned all the lessons they are designed to teach us. There are no certificates at the end of our blueprint lessons. There are no time limits on our achieving what is necessary. Each return to the Spirit plane is greeted with joy and encouragement to keep learning.

Once we have passed through all 9 levels our choices become more limited. We reach a floor, a level, blueprint 11 and will go through it as many times as we have to. Then when we have absorbed all the lessons it had to teach us we take the ‘turbo lift’ to the top level, blueprint 12, where we have but one chance to prove ourselves. If we cannot complete it properly we may well find ourselves back on the ladder which is 1-9.

It is a continuous cycle, life and death, with much to learn in both states and no need to fear either event. They are as far above us interfering with them as it is beyond us to stop night turning into day.

We are born with our blueprint attached and do our best with that. If we have no idea of our plan it may be difficult but it is not impossible. Finding our blueprint from our birthdate is one step towards making sense of life, this life.
